What’s new

Settings → About shows the version you are running and, under What’s new, the highlights of what has changed for you recently — what you can now see or do that you could not before, grouped by month, then by day, then by release, latest first.

Who this is for: anyone who wants to know what has arrived lately without reading an engineering changelog.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → About.
  2. The Version line at the top is the release name, a year and a month such as 2026.9. It changes only when a new release is named, not every time the app updates.
  3. The Build line just beneath it is the exact build you are running, such as 1.693.0. It changes often. If you write to support, include this number. You can select it and copy it. A suffix like (preview) means you are on a non-production environment.
  4. Below the product card, expand What’s new.
  5. Highlights are grouped by month, newest first. The current month is open; earlier months are collapsed, with the number of highlights next to each month’s name. Click a month’s name to open it. The three most recent months that have anything are shown; Show earlier reveals up to three more.
  6. Inside a month there is one heading per day, with the day and how many highlights it holds, for example Saturday, October 10 (5). Click a day to open it: inside are that day’s releases, one nested heading per version such as v1.885.0 (3); click a version to see its highlights. The latest day is on top and, within a day, the higher version first. A few older highlights have no version; they are listed directly under their day, after that day’s releases. The version is the same number as the Build line above, so you can tell whether a highlight is in the build you are running.
  7. To see everything at once, tick Show all details (next to the search box). Every month opens and every highlight is listed with its date, its version and full text. Untick it to go back to the summary. Your choice is remembered on that computer or tablet.
  8. To find a highlight, type a word in Search what’s new. The search looks through every month What’s new holds, including collapsed and earlier ones, and shows only the matching highlights with their dates. Clear the box to go back.

What you’ll see

Only the highlights that apply to your kind of organization. A gallery sees the Studio highlights (classes, artists, the gallery website, sales, payouts and so on); every other organization sees the Ops highlights (volunteers, events, donors, the website editor, Client Manager). Highlights that apply to everyone — sign-in, security, support, branding — appear for both.

Each highlight is a sentence in plain language. The release’s version is in its heading only; there are no ticket ids or technical names in this list; releases that change nothing you can see (housekeeping, performance, security hardening) are not listed at all.

The highlights ship inside the app, so the list always matches the build you are on — there is nothing to fetch and nothing to get out of step.

If nothing customer-visible has shipped yet, the panel says Nothing to report yet.

Common issues

  • The Build number in Settings doesn’t match what a colleague sees — one of you is on an older cached build. Reload the page; if a new version is waiting, the app offers a Reload banner.
  • A change you were told about isn’t listed — What’s new lists highlights, not every change. A fix to something that was broken, or a change you cannot see, is not a highlight. If you want the detail of a particular fix, write to support@cartoncrew.online.
  • A colleague at another organization sees a highlight you don’t — their organization is on a different vertical. A gallery and an ordinary nonprofit see different lists.
