Campaign link & codes
Tie a request back to the campaign that drove it. Useful for “did our spring newsletter actually generate requests?”
Who this is for: anyone running campaigns + tracking outcomes.
How it works
- Every campaign has a campaign code (see Campaign codes).
- The public request form accepts a
?code=…query param. - When the campaign body links to the request form with the code in the URL, the resulting request record stores the linked campaign id and the code.
- Filtering on the campaign id later answers “show me all requests this campaign drove”.
Steps (admin enters a request manually)
- In + New request, scroll to the Campaign link field.
- Type the campaign name or paste the code. Typeahead suggests matches.
- Save.
Steps (link an existing request after the fact)
- Open the request.
- Campaign link dropdown → pick.
- Save.

Common issues
- Request came in with no link — the requester arrived without the
?code=query param. They typed the URL by hand or the link in your email was broken. - Wrong campaign linked — edit the campaign link field; the change is audit-logged.
- Campaign code reused across two campaigns — code-based reporting aggregates across both. Use unique codes per campaign if you need to disambiguate.
