Pinning to dashboard

A pinned report shows as a card on your Dashboard. Useful for at-a-glance metrics.

Who this is for: Owners and Admins, and anyone granted the Organization Insights capability (reports_manage).

Steps

1. Open Organization Insights in the sidebar.
2. On the report’s card, click ☆ Pin. It takes effect at once — there is nothing to save — and the button changes to ★ Pinned.
3. The Dashboard’s Pinned reports section now includes the card, with a Manage in Organization Insights → link. The card runs the report afresh each time the dashboard loads.

You can also pin while building or editing: tick Pin to home dashboard in the builder, then click Save report (or Save changes).

Edit on a pinned card on the Dashboard opens that report in the Edit report window on the Organization Insights page.

To unpin

Click ★ Pinned on the card (on the Organization Insights page or on the dashboard), or clear Pin to home dashboard in the builder and save. The card disappears from the dashboard.

What you’ll see

Common issues

• Card not appearing on the dashboard — the Pinned reports section shows only when the Organization Insights extension is on, you hold the Organization Insights capability (Owners and Admins always do), and at least one report is pinned.
• Want to control which reports appear for which role — pinning is per organization, not per person or per role: a pinned report shows for everyone who can see the section.
