Editing the Programs page

Each program on your site is its own clickable detail page with actions (Volunteer / Donate / Wish list). The Programs editor reorganizes them, attaches tags, and wires up the actions.

Who this is for: Editor / Admin / Owner with website.manage.

Steps

  1. Website → Programs tab.
  2. Optional: fill the Page intro & header at the top (heading, subtitle, hero image).
  3. Pick a Tag library (defaults provided; see Customizing program tags).
  4. + Add program. Click the row to expand it. Fill:
    • Title + Card summary (shown on the listing page).
    • Detail page body — full deep-dive, Markdown supported.
    • Tags — click pills to attach/detach.
    • Program image — hero on the detail page.
  5. Add Actions to the program:
    • Volunteer — pick a published event; the program detail will show a CTA button to that event’s signup.
    • Donate — links to your Donate page (only renders when the Donations extension is enabled).
    • Wish list — list of items (with optional URLs to Amazon, etc).
  6. Reorder programs with the ↑ / ↓ buttons.
  7. Save. Slugs are auto-generated from titles on save (deduplicated).

Common issues

  • Volunteer action says “No published events” — publish at least one event in the Events module first.
  • Slug changed unexpectedly — happens when you renamed a program; slugs regenerate on save and deduplicate.
  • Wish list URL doesn’t open — must be a full https://… URL.
