Events

Plan a calendar entry, break it into shifts, publish a public sign-up page, and record who turned up and for how long.

Who this is for: admins and staff in an org with the Event Manager extension enabled. The capability is event_manage.

The sidebar says Schedule. The nav entry is Schedule, the page title is Events, and the marketplace calls the extension Event Manager. They are all the same thing. This documentation says Events for the module and Schedule when telling you where to click.

Events and Volunteers are two separate modules. They share the volunteer list — a sign-up creates or matches a volunteer record — but they have separate extensions, separate sidebar entries and separate screens. Neither is a tab of the other. Hours and attendance live here, in Events, not in Volunteers.

What this module does not do

No roles. A shift has a Label — free text, meant for informational rows — but there is no role field, no role picker and no role taxonomy.
No shift status. A shift cannot be cancelled, only deleted.
No staff-side cancellation of a sign-up. Staff Remove a person, which deletes the row. Only the supporter can cancel their own sign-up, from the link in their confirmation.
No filters on the Schedule list. No search, no status filter, no date filter.
No manual milestones. The milestone plan is AI-generated or absent.
