title: “My Membership”

My Membership

For member artists. The page is called My Membership (until October 2026 it was called Membership Info). To open it, press Me, then My Membership. This works the same way on a computer and on a phone.

Old links and bookmarks to this page still open it.

The page has two sections:

  • Membership — your own membership at this gallery: what cadence you are on, what it costs, when your current membership runs to, and My dues: how you pay your dues, what is due and when, and every payment the gallery recorded.
  • Commission and pay — your commission rate at this gallery and How you get paid (check or bank transfer). These used to be on My Profile.

The gallery’s documents and links are no longer on this page: they have their own page, Gallery Documents. If your gallery has them, a line at the foot of My Membership links to it.

Guest artists see My Membership only if the gallery has opened it to guests, and then only Commission and pay (a guest has no membership or dues). A guest whose gallery has not opened it finds Commission and pay at the foot of My Profile instead, so nobody loses the way they are paid.

The Add a passkey card. Until you add a passkey, an Add a passkey card sits at the top of My Membership, above the two sections. A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN instead of an emailed code.

  • Press Add a passkey and confirm on your phone or computer. The card is replaced by Passkey added. Next time, choose Sign in with a passkey on the sign-in page.
  • Press Dismiss to hide the card for good (it stays hidden on every device).
  • If you cancel your device’s prompt, the card stays and says the passkey was not added; you are still signed in.

The card only appears where passkeys work (your gallery’s cartoncrew.online address, in a browser that supports them). See Signing in faster with a passkey.

Membership

The Membership section shows three things, all set by your gallery:

  • Membership — your cadence: Monthly, Quarterly, Half yearly or Annual.
  • Dues — what that costs, per period and as a yearly total, for example $50 a month · $600 a year. An annual membership shows one figure.
  • Current membership runs to — the last day of your current period.

Your periods are counted from the month your membership started. A quarterly member who started in March runs March to May, June to August, and so on; a half-yearly member who started in August runs August to January, then February to July; an annual member who started in March runs March to the end of the following February.

If a line says “Not set yet. Ask the gallery.” the gallery has not recorded that part yet. The portal will not guess a price or a date.

When your membership is about to run out

A notice appears at the top of the Membership section shortly before the end of your current period:

CadenceThe notice appears
Monthly3 days before
Quarterly7 days before
Half yearly14 days before
Annual30 days before

It tells you the date and how many days are left. Speak to the gallery about renewing.

If you are not renewing

When the gallery has recorded the month your membership ends, My Membership says:

Your membership will expire on date and access to this portal will be lost. We recommend you download your sales transactions for your own records

That is exactly what happens. You keep the whole portal through the last day of your end month. From the first day of the next month, at the gallery’s own midnight, you can no longer sign in to the portal at that gallery, and a session you already have stops working on its next page. Signing in then says “Your membership at gallery has ended, so the member portal is closed to this account.” If you are still a member of another gallery, your portal there is not affected.

with a link to My Sales, where Export downloads your sales as CSV or Excel. The date is the last day of your end month.

You also cannot sign up for gallery shifts in any month after your end month. Shifts in your end month itself are still yours. See Calendar.

My dues

Under Membership, My dues answers “am I paid up, and what do I do next?” without calling the treasurer. Your gallery sends no invoices and no reminders, so this is what to go by.

  • How you pay — the way you chose, with exactly what to do, how much and by when. For example: Send a check for $50 through your bank’s bill pay so that it reaches the gallery by October 10, 2026.
  • This month — Paid, Part paid (with what is still owing), Card declined, Due on a date, or Not received yet once the date has passed.
  • Owing — anything still owing for months whose due date has passed.
  • Next due — the amount and the date of your next payment.

Choosing how you pay

Under Choose how you pay you see the ways your gallery accepts. Each one says what it means for you:

Way to payWhat you do
CheckPay by your bank’s bill pay, so the check reaches the gallery by the due date
CardNothing: the gallery charges your card on the due date. Tell the gallery if your card changes
ZelleSend the payment yourself by the due date, to the Zelle email or phone number shown
CashBring it to the gallery by the due date (only if your gallery takes cash)

Pick one and tap Save my choice. You can change it at any time. A change made on the 1st of a month counts for that month; a change made on any other day counts from the 1st of the next month, and My dues tells you so. Zelle is only offered once your gallery has said where to send it.

The portal records your choice only. It never asks for, and never keeps, a card number, a bank account or a Zelle login. Every choice is kept, so Your choices so far shows what you chose, when, and whether you or the gallery made the change.

Paying by Zelle

When you pay by Zelle, My Membership → My dues → Choose how you pay shows the gallery’s Zelle email or phone number and the amount due. Send it from your own bank’s Zelle, then come back and tap I sent it by Zelle. That tells the gallery to look for it; it does not send any money.

  • This month then reads Pending: waiting for the gallery to confirm your Zelle payment. Your dues are not shown as paid yet, and the button is not offered again while the gallery is checking.
  • When the treasurer finds it in the gallery’s bank, it shows under Payments recorded as a Zelle payment and This month reads Paid.
  • If the gallery cannot find it, My dues says so: The gallery could not find the Zelle payment of $50 you sent on … Check with your bank or talk to the gallery. I sent it by Zelle is offered again once you have sent it.

Zelle is only offered once your gallery has entered its Zelle email or phone. Nobody else sees your Zelle notice except the gallery’s treasurer, owner and admins.

Payments recorded

Every payment the treasurer recorded is listed: the month, the amount, how it was paid, the date it arrived, and the outcome. A part payment shows what is still owing for that month.

If your card was declined, My dues says so at the top and asks you to contact the gallery. Tap My card has changed if that is why: the portal reminds you to tell the gallery in person or by phone. Never type a card number into the portal.

There are no late fines. If you are having trouble paying, talk to the gallery.

Commission and pay

Your commission rate

If your gallery has chosen to show it, the section starts with a line like:

Your commission rate at this gallery: 40% of each sale. Set by the gallery. Individual pieces can carry their own agreed rate.

It is there for information. As it says, the gallery sets it, and an individual piece can have its own agreed rate. If you don’t see this line at all, your gallery has simply chosen not to display it.

How you get paid

The How you get paid card, under Commission and pay, is where you tell the gallery how you want your commission. Pick one:

  • Check — the gallery writes you a check each month.
  • Bank transfer — QuickBooks pays you directly. You give your bank details to QuickBooks, never to the gallery.

As the card says, CartonCrew never asks for and never stores your bank details — you give those to QuickBooks directly, on their page.

If you pick Bank transfer, a line under it tells you where things stand:

  • The gallery has not sent your QuickBooks invitation yet. Until it arrives you will be paid by check.
  • The gallery has invited you to add your bank details in QuickBooks. Until you do, QuickBooks sends a paper check instead — nothing is held up. Look for an email from QuickBooks asking for your payment information, and follow it.
  • Bank transfer is set up — the gallery has checked that QuickBooks has your bank details.

After you finish in QuickBooks, the second line stays until the gallery’s treasurer checks. Neither QuickBooks nor Square tells CartonCrew whether you have entered your bank details, so a person has to look: the treasurer opens your vendor record in QuickBooks, sees your details are on file, and marks your bank transfer as set up. That is what moves the card to the third line. You cannot mark it yourself, and if the gallery undoes it the card goes back to the second line.

Nothing is ever held up by this. Until bank transfer is working, you are paid by check.

For the gallery’s treasurer: on Artists, press Invite to ACH on the artist’s row. QuickBooks opens on their vendor record; press Ask for payment info there, and QuickBooks emails the artist and collects their bank details itself. That press is what moves this card to The gallery has invited you. Once the artist’s bank details show as on file in QuickBooks, press Mark bank transfer set up on the same row to move the card to Bank transfer is set up; Undo bank transfer set up reverses it. An artist gets a vendor record the first time a sale of their work is pushed to QuickBooks, so a brand-new artist may not have one yet. See Artist payouts, section 2.

To change how you get paid:

  1. Press Me, then My Membership.
  2. Under Commission and pay, pick Check or Bank transfer.
  3. Press Save how you get paid. The button stays grayed out until you pick something different from what is saved. “How you get paid saved” appears when it is done.

If it goes wrong

I can’t find How you get paid or my commission rate on My Profile. They moved here, to My Membership, under Commission and pay.

I can’t find the gallery’s documents. They have their own page now: press The Gallery, then Gallery Documents. See Gallery Documents.

A line says “Not set yet. Ask the gallery.” The gallery has not recorded that part of your membership yet. Ask them.
