Exporting PDFs

Generate a shareable PDF of any saved document.

Who this is for: anyone with read access to the document.

Steps

  1. Open the document.
  2. Export → PDF.
  3. CartonCrew uses headless Chromium to render the document to PDF. Takes ~10s.
  4. The PDF downloads automatically. The same export is also attached as a version inside the document’s history (so colleagues can pull the same one without re-rendering).

Common issues

  • PDF looks different from the in-app view — Chromium uses its own font fallback chain. Stick to standard web fonts in the template.
  • Export hangs — the headless Chromium pool may have leaked. Retry; if persistent, file a bug.
