Contacting the organization
Send an organization a question, an idea or feedback through the Contact form on its website. No account is needed.
Who this is for: anyone with a message for the organization.
Steps
- Open the organization’s website and click Contact in the menu at the
top of the page (or open the address ending in
/contact). Some organizations also put the same form on other pages of their site. - Fill in Name and Email, so they can reply.
- Choose a Subject from the list. The organization sets the choices.
- Some subjects open a Please describe your subject box; fill it in.
- Some show a note, “Ready to donate?”, with a link to the organization’s donation page, if you would rather give than write.
- If the form asks How did you hear about us?, choose an answer. It is optional, and some answers ask one short follow-up question.
- Write your Message.
- Click Send message.
The form then says “Thanks — your message has been sent. We’ll be in touch.” The organization replies to the email address you gave.
What you’ll see
Common issues
- No Contact link in the menu. This organization does not use the Contact form. Use the email address or phone number in the website’s footer, if it shows one.
- “Please select a subject.” Choose a Subject before sending.
- “Please describe your subject.” The subject you chose needs a short description in the box below it.
- No reply yet. The organization answers in its own time. Send again only if it is urgent, and check your spam folder for their reply.
- You are asking for a gift or other help. Use the request form instead; see Submitting a gift request. It asks for the details the organization needs.
