Campaign codes

A short token attached to a campaign send. Measures which campaign drove a downstream action (donation, request, signup).

Who this is for: anyone running multi-campaign measurement.

Steps

  1. In the composer, the Campaign code field appears under Subject.
  2. Auto-generated short code is filled in. You can edit it (short, alphanumeric).
  3. Use the code in:
    • URLs in the body (e.g. …/donate?code=spring26)
    • Phone-script prompts (“mention code spring26 when you call”)
    • The donate / request / signup forms accept the code as a query param.
  4. After send, the campaign row shows uses — the running count of records that came in with this code attached.

Common issues

  • Code count stuck at 0 — recipients are using a different URL or not passing the code. Confirm the URL in your body carries ?code=….
  • Want to reuse a code on the next campaign — fine; the count aggregates per-code across campaigns.
