Noticeboard analytics

Who read each notice, how many liked it, and how far it reached — on the Analytics tab of the Noticeboard. Admins and owners only: this is the one screen that puts a name next to a read. Members never see names; the board shows them a like count and nothing more.

The summary cards

At the top of the tab, for the whole board:

CardWhat it counts
PublishedNotices that have ever gone live (archived ones included), and how many of those in the last 30 days. Drafts and scheduled notices are not published yet.
Average reachThe mean reach of the notices that went live in the last 90 days. ”—” when there is no audience to reach.
Urgent on the boardUrgent notices that are published and not expired right now.
UnreadAcross everyone in the audience, published notices that have not been opened. A member without a login has opened nothing, so every notice counts as unread for them.
AudienceHow many people a notice is for — see below.

Who counts as the audience

Reach is a percentage, and a percentage needs a denominator. It is decided by the kind of organization:

  • A gallery (Studio): the current member artists — category Member, not archived, membership not ended. A member without a login is still in the audience: the notice was for them too, and they simply count as not having read it.
  • An Ops organization: the active staff — everyone with a current membership in the organization. Expired memberships, deactivated accounts and support sessions are not counted.

A gallery’s own staff read the board in the admin app. Their opens show in Opens and in the viewers list (marked not in audience), but they are not part of reach: reach answers “how many of the people this was for have seen it”.

One notice

Pick a notice from the list on the left (only published ones are listed — a draft has nothing to measure). You get:

  • Reach — unique viewers in the audience divided by the audience, as a whole percentage. It is ”—” when the audience is empty, and it can never exceed 100%.
  • Unique viewers — how many people in the audience opened it at least once, shown as viewers / audience.
  • Opens — every open by anyone, including staff and repeat visits.
  • Likes — the current count (an unlike takes one away).
  • Emailed — how many “Email all members” messages were sent, failed or are still pending, once the email fan-out ships. ”—” when the notice was never emailed.
  • First opens by day — a chart from the day the notice went live to today (up to 90 days), one point per day, zero on days nobody opened it for the first time. Days are counted in UTC. If the chart cannot draw, the same numbers appear as a table instead.
  • Who viewed — each reader’s name, when they first and last opened the notice, and how many times. A member artist is named as on the roster; a staff member by their profile name.
  • Liked by — the names of everyone whose like still stands.

Names resolve from the artist roster first, then the user profile, then the email address, so a reader is always identifiable.

What members see

Nothing on this page. The member portal shows a like count and whether they have read a notice — no names, no reach, no list of who else has opened it. An editor or viewer who reaches the analytics routes directly gets a refusal.
