Contact form settings
Tailor the public Contact form to your organization. You control the Subject dropdown options and an optional “How did you hear about us?” question. These settings are per-organization — each tenant has its own form.
Who this is for: admins who manage the Contact inbox.
Where to edit it
Go to Contact → Edit contact form. The editor loads your current configuration; make changes, then Save form. Changes apply immediately to your public Contact page. The form always requires at least one subject before it can be saved.
Subject options
The Subject dropdown is required on the public form. Each option is a label you define (for example, “General Inquiry,” “Volunteering,” “Donations”). Use the up/down arrows to reorder options and the × button to remove one.
Each subject has two optional toggles:
- Ask for detail — when the visitor picks this subject, a free-text box appears so they can describe their request in their own words. The follow-up box is required when shown.
- Donation callout — when the visitor picks this subject, a highlighted note invites them to give directly via your donation page.
Donation page URL
When any subject has Donation callout turned on, a Donation page URL field appears. Enter where the callout should link (for example, /donate).
The callout only shows on the live form if the Donations extension is enabled for your organization — this prevents the link from pointing to a page that does not exist.
”How did you hear about us?”
Turn on Show “How did you hear about us?” to add an optional question below the subject. When enabled, you build a list of answer options (for example, “Social media,” “A friend,” “An event”).
For any option, turn on Ask follow-up to reveal a required text box when that option is selected. You set both:
- Follow-up label — the question shown above the box (for example, “Which event?”).
- Placeholder text — the hint shown inside the empty box.
Reorder and remove options with the arrows and × button, the same as subjects. The “How did you hear about us?” question itself is optional for visitors; only its follow-up boxes are required once a matching option is chosen.
How visitors see it
On the public Contact page, visitors always see Name, Email, Subject, and Message. Detail boxes, the donation callout, and the “How did you hear about us?” follow-up appear only after the relevant option is selected, then collapse if the visitor changes their answer.
