Campaign Manager
Run a fundraising campaign with a goal, a public page, a progress thermometer, peer-to-peer fundraiser pages and a planning checklist.
Who this is for: admins and fundraising staff in an org with the Campaign Manager extension enabled.
The sidebar entry is Fundraising, and the page heading is Fundraising. The Campaigns entry is a different extension — Email Campaigns — which also has a + New campaign button. The two are unrelated: this one creates a fundraising campaign, that one composes an email.
CartonCrew does not process donations. The Donate button on a public campaign page is a link you configure, pointing at Stripe or any other payment page. No card details are entered in CartonCrew and no money moves through it.
Creating a campaign
- Open Fundraising and click + New campaign.
- The New campaign window asks for one thing: Campaign name.
- Click Create.
The campaign opens in a window titled with its own name, showing four tabs: Overview, Contributions, Fundraiser pages and Touchpoints.
Overview
Everything about the campaign itself:
- Name
- Goal (USD) — the target the thermometer measures against
- Status — Draft, Active or Ended
- Donate link — a Stripe Payment Link or any URL
- Start and End
- A large box for the campaign story, which appears on the public page
- Public page live — a checkbox
- Show progress publicly — a checkbox
Click Save to apply. Upload hero image takes a PNG, JPG or WebP for the top of the public page.
Getting the public page to actually appear
Ticking “Public page live” is not enough on its own. A campaign whose Status is still Draft returns a not-found page to visitors even with the box ticked. Both conditions are required:
- Status is Active or Ended, and
- Public page live is ticked.
If View public page gives you a missing page, the status is the thing to check first.
View public page and copy link (on the campaign, and on each row of
Fundraiser pages) use your organization’s own web address once that address
is verified (Settings → Organization → Domain says your site is live there),
even though you work in the admin screens on the cartoncrew.online address.
Without a custom domain, or while it is still waiting to be verified, the links
use your <your-name>.cartoncrew.online address.
The thermometer only appears when Show progress publicly is ticked and Goal (USD) is set above zero. With no goal there is nothing to show a percentage of, so the bar is omitted rather than shown empty.
Contributions
A ledger of what has come in. Add one with Amount, Donor name, Source (Offline or Online), and Show name publicly — which controls whether they appear in Recent supporters on the public page. If the campaign has fundraiser pages, a Fundraiser dropdown also appears, offering Main campaign or one of the pages. Click Add.
Import attributed gifts
With the Donor Management extension enabled, an Import attributed gifts button appears.
This is not a file import. There is no dialog, no template and no columns to prepare. It pulls in monetary gifts already recorded in Donor Management that are attributed to this campaign, and reports back a single count: “Imported N gift(s).”
It is safe to press twice — a gift already pulled in is not duplicated, so a second press reports “Imported 0 gift(s).” Imported contributions show a distinct imported marker, which you cannot set or remove by hand.
Without Donor Management enabled the button is not shown.
Fundraiser pages
Peer-to-peer: each supporter fundraising on your behalf gets their own page with its own link and its own running total.
- Fill in Page title and Fundraiser name.
- Click + Create page — it stays disabled until the title has text.
- Use copy link on the row to get the page’s public address.
Check the link before you send it out. A fundraiser page is only reachable when the page itself is active and public and the parent campaign is public and not in Draft. There is no control in CartonCrew for the page’s own visibility, so if the link returns a missing page, the fix is on the campaign’s Overview tab — set Status away from Draft and tick Public page live.
A fundraiser page cannot be edited or deleted after it is created, so get the title and the name right first time.
To credit a donation to a fundraiser, choose them in the Fundraiser dropdown when adding the contribution.
Touchpoints
A simple plan of outreach for the campaign: a Touchpoint description, a Channel (Email, Social or Other) and a Planned date. Click Add.
Each touchpoint carries a checkbox to mark it done. It is a checklist — nothing is sent, scheduled or automated from here.
What supporters see
A public campaign page shows the hero image, the campaign name, the thermometer (when enabled and a goal is set), the story, a Donate button pointing at your configured link, and up to twenty Recent supporters — only those contributions marked Show name publicly and carrying a donor name.
A fundraiser page shows the same, headed “Fundraising for” the campaign and “by” the fundraiser.
Supporters cannot create their own fundraiser page; staff create each one.
