Scheduling a send
Email Campaigns has no scheduling. A campaign sends when you click send.
This page previously described a Schedule button, a Cancel schedule action and a worker that fired campaigns at a chosen time. None of that exists, and none of it ever did. If you have been looking for those controls, stop — the button row on a saved campaign is exactly four buttons:
Save changes · Send test to me · Send to N · Close
There is no date or time field anywhere on the form.
What to do instead
Send it when you want it to go out. Send to N delivers immediately, and the confirmation warns that it cannot be undone — so treat the moment you click as the send time.
A practical rhythm for a dated appeal:
- Build the campaign and click Save draft whenever you like, days ahead if you want. A draft is safe to leave sitting.
- Send yourself a test and get the wording settled.
- Come back at the hour you want it delivered and click Send to N.
A draft holds indefinitely and can be edited freely, so the only thing you cannot automate is the final click.
Why you may see the word “scheduled”
A campaign’s status can read scheduled in the data model, and the code carries
a scheduled_at field. Neither is reachable: nothing in the interface sets a
scheduled time, and the send path marks a campaign sent as soon as it has gone
out. Treat scheduled as a status you will not encounter.
If you need true scheduling
There is no workaround inside CartonCrew — no automation rule, no recurring send, no queue. If timed delivery matters to your programme, that is a feature request rather than a setting to find.
