Insert helpers

Drop personalized fields into the campaign body without typing template syntax.

Who this is for: anyone composing a campaign.

Steps

  1. Click in the body where you want the field.
  2. Open Insert in the composer toolbar.
  3. Pick a helper:
    • Recipient first name / last name / full name / email
    • Org name / org address / org email
    • Campaign code
    • One-click unsubscribe URL (CartonCrew adds the List-Unsubscribe header automatically; only insert this manually if your style needs a visible link too).
  4. The helper inserts a placeholder token. At send time CartonCrew substitutes the recipient-specific value.

Common issues

  • Email shows the raw {{recipient.first_name}} to the recipient — you typed it manually with a typo. Use the menu so the token is exactly right.
  • First name field is empty for some recipients — their record only has email. The token falls back to “there” (literal) — review the preview.
